Digestive problems
Digestive problems are common and can be due to a number of things. Such as eating late, eating spicy food and eating food that does not agree with your temperament. It can also be due to food not being digested properly and may be as a result of stress.
CONSTIPATION:
Cause may be inappropriate diet, inadequate fluid intake, a diet low in fibre found in vegetables, fruits, and whole grains and high in fats found in cheese, eggs, and meats.
There is also a link between stress levels and gut motility.
Remedy suggestions:
1 teaspoon Senna leaves, ground ginger (dried or fresh), fennel seeds, and rock salt
Make a fine powder of all ingredients
1 teaspoon with water at bedtime.
DIARRHOEA:
Eat a light diet.
Avoid chili peppers and spicy foods
Remedy suggestions:
One teaspoon of powdered ginger, cumin, and cinnamon
Combine all three add honey, and mix into a thick paste.
Take a half to one teaspoon, three times daily.
INDIGESTION:
Feeling of heaviness in stomach after eating.
Lack of appetite, nausea flatulence, and vomiting.
This condition is usually due to faulty, irregular diet, especially eating before the previous meal is fully digested.
Remedy suggestions:
One teaspoon of fennel and cardamom seeds, grounded to a fine powder.
Take 1/6 teaspoon with water twice daily after meals.
