Cupping a great healing tool

Cupping a great healing tool

Cupping therapy is an ancient therapy used by many cultures for thousands of years. It was employed in the Western hospitals, as well as the Middle East and Far East. Cupping therapy is also known by many names including Hijama (Arabic), Schropf therapie (German), Kupa Cekme (Turkish), Banki (Russain), etc

There are different types of Cupping and in our practice we use the following:

Dry cupping  – This is the process of using a vacuum on different areas of the body in order to gather the blood in that area.

Wet cupping  – This is the process of using a vacuum on different areas of the body in order to gather the blood in that area with small incisions; light scratches using a sterile surgical blade.
