New Temperament Quiz

Discover Your Unani Temperament

In Unani medicine, each person has a natural constitutional temperament, known as
mizaj. This is reflected in a number of physical and functional
characteristics, including body structure, skin, hair, digestion, sleep,
response to climate, and other natural tendencies.

This short quiz uses some of these characteristics to help you identify your
likely predominant temperament.

The four principal temperamental patterns are:

  • Damawi (Sanguine) — Hot and Moist
  • Safravi (Choleric) — Hot and Dry
  • Balghami (Phlegmatic) — Cold and Moist
  • Sawdawi (Melancholic) — Cold and Dry
How to answer the quiz

Think about how you have generally been throughout your life,
rather than how you may feel at the moment or during a period of illness.

At the end of the quiz, you will receive an introduction to your predominant
temperament, including some of its characteristic features and general information
about maintaining balance.

This quiz is intended for educational purposes and provides an indication
of temperament rather than a clinical assessment.
